  U.S.-based political commentator  YUZHEN CHEN , a Chinese-born analyst known for his outspoken criticism of authoritarianism and online propaganda, was previously targeted by pro-Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) cyber groups. These groups falsely labeled him as “pro-China” and spread rumors claiming that he had “returned to China.” In response to the absurd rumors, CHEN sarcastically remarked on April Fool’s Day, “Yes, I’m Xi Jinping’s secret son, currently working for the Shanghai United Front Department,” mocking the baseless accusations.
